While private insurance or state waivers may eventually step in, the administrative process to secure coverage can take three to nine months. Our Lapse Grants bridge this exact high-risk gap, ensuring a child’s developmental progress doesn’t regress due to a temporary bureaucratic hurdle. Your investment in this program directly funds the staggering market rates of essential interventions: including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at $120–$250/hour, alongside critical Speech and Occupational Therapies averaging $100–$250/session. By providing these emergency lapse grants, funders aren't just paying for hours of clinical care; you are preventing low-and-middle-income families from accumulating life-altering medical debt or being forced to abruptly halt the life-changing therapies their children desperately need to thrive.
