Who we serve
We serve elementary and primary school students to help bridge the gap in understanding between peers when one of them uses an AAC device to communicate.

How it works
What actually happens
STEP 01
We connect with schools
We connect with elementary schools and propose our program and work with the schools to come up with the best game plan.
STEP 02
We go to the schools
The day of the event, we go to the schools either as an assembly or as a program within the specials hours/blocks and work with students.
STEP 03
What that looks like
Using local SLPs as facilitators, we allow structured access for students who communicate verbally to learn the device and craft their own communication using the device.
STEP 04
The end goal: connection
We hope that after our time with the students we leave them with tools to connect with their peers and develop a deeper understanding of the work that goes in to being an AAC device user.

What this program does not do
Knowing where we stop saves you time, and tells you where to look next.
- We do not provide speech therapy sessions for the students or give medical advice
- We do not provide AAC devices for students in the schools we visit, all devices must leave with us
Fund this program
The program needs donations in forms of either monetary donations to help support giving us access to loaner devices. Primarly, we are looking for in-kind donations of AAC devices, and SLPs to help facilitate events.
